Vientiane
As we walked along the streets of the Vientiane market, I saw this girl walking with her mother, selling wasp larvae, a Laotian dish. Along with many other street vendors, the family made their living off of the items they sold. From flowers to local vegetables to insect larvas, a variety of products were were sold at the market by the local vendors, who also lived in the hilly area nearby.
Most of of the time, the market sells products to the local people, however, it has recently become a tourist attraction due to the eccentric and rich assortment of foods and fresh produce supplied.
