Today was the first time Sam Budiartho (a friend and artist at my school) and I met to discuss a potential project in which we can could collaborate with her artwork and my photography to form a themed project that conveyed a message to our audience. We met for around an hour and discussed potential ideas involving different artworks, materials, backgrounds, and models. The one thing that was crucial for our project was that the artwork and the photography complemented each other. It was important for these two to match but not to replicate each other. After brainstorming a bunch of ideas, we settled on a project involving the drawing of a human heart on a male model’s back.
