Pelita II School Shoot
September 22, 2016A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to take pictures for a school’s yearbook, specifically the Pelita II School, in West Jakarta. One of the students on the yearbook committee, Matthew, contacted me and we set up a date, time, and location to shoot. We decided on Taman Cattleya, a park in West Jakarta. This was unlike many of our other shoots I’ve done, as it was the first time I was shooting for a yearbook of a school. It was truly an interesting experience as I had to take group shots as well as individual photos. The group shots were definitely more difficult to take than the individual photos as they required positioning of the entire group in a specific place and also, the positioning needed symmetry. The language barrier wasn’t a problem as many of the students spoke English. Overall, it was a very very hot day, but other than that I ended up having a lot of fun talking to and shooting with the students!
